Native Copper, this piece had clearly been exposed to the elements for quite a while. The range of colors and patterns in the patina are what struck me most.
Found in the tailings pile of the Nebraska copper mine near Greenland, Michigan, during the Copper Country Mineral Retreat, August 2006.
